Fayetteville is a city that needs the gospel. There are over 400,000 people in the Fayetteville area and it continues to grow. North Carolina has historically been known as the Bible belt, a place known for having a church on every corner, but the church in the South is dying. A desire to be “good“ has taken the place of a desire for gospel advancement in the lives of many in the South.

We are praying that the gospel will continue to go forth powerfully in this city. We want to see marriages restored, we want to see men who step into their God given roles and lead their families passionately, we want to see the the dividing walls of hostility that exist in the city torn down (Ephesians 2:11-22). This is what the gospel does.

Fayetteville is home to the largest military installation in the world, Ft. Bragg. Ft. Bragg is the home of The Airborne and Special Operations Forces and houses over 100,000 soldiers and their families. The leaders who are shaping this generation and who will shape the next are at Ft. Bragg right now. The military is the largest unreached people group in the United States and they are largely unengaged by the Church. These men and women struggle with the same identity issues that I did as a soldier and this can only be engaged through the local church spreading the fame of Jesus and giving these soldiers a place to belong.

The gospel creates community where there is no community. The gospel creates family where there is no family.

It is our hope to be a church rooted in traditional evangelical Christian beliefs that engages the culture in a relevant way. We want to see the fame of Jesus spread throughout Fayetteville and to the ends of the earth, and the only way to get to know Jesus is to understand what the Bible says about him, which includes what he said about himself.
