LOVE GOD
Jesus tells us that the highest virtue is to love God with all of our being. Our love for God is a response to his love for us. The only reasonable response to God’s love for us in the gospel is to love him in return. “And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment.” Matthew 22:37-38
LOVE PEOPLE
When we see the love that God has for us in the gospel, we not only respond with love towards God, but we respond by loving each other in Gospel Community. Jesus tells us that next to loving God, this is the most important commandment. “A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another.” John 13:34
ADVANCE THE GOSPEL
We love God and love people, but we also care about the people who live in darkness without God. We care about what God cares about. Our Gospel Communities must go and advance the gospel through gospel proclamation and kingdom demonstration. “But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.” 1 Peter 2:9
