WHAT IS DISCIPLESHIP?

There are many different terms and truths you can use to define what a Christian is, but we believe one of the most important and all-encompassing realities about us as Christians is that we are disciples of Jesus Christ. We are followers of Jesus who are learning what it means to love and follow Jesus over a lifetime. This is what it means to be a disciple of Jesus.

Put most simply, to disciple someone is to help them follow Jesus. Discipleship can play out in many different ways and look like many different things, but remembering that discipleship is ultimately about helping others follow Jesus demystifies it and empowers every Christian to be a disciple-maker. If you are a Christian, you are empowered by the Spirit of Christ and are able to make disciples!
