DANIEL - BETWEEN TWO KINGDOMS
The book of Daniel takes place while the people of God are in exile in Babylon. Different kingdoms rise and fall in the book, but the constant theme is that God is the one who is truly king, and his kingdom will endure forever, unlike these earthly kingdoms. God is sovereign over the rule of these kings and kingdoms, so his people can remain faithful to him even while they are in exile.
Our hope is that the book of Daniel will help equip us to be faithful to God while we are “exiles” on this earth. God is in control, even when it may not look like it. Because of this, we can trust him and remain faithful to him.
