MATTHEW 26-28 - THE KING’S CROSS

The closing chapters of Matthew's Gospel reveal the climactic mission of the Messiah-King. Jesus is not a victim of circumstance but a sovereign Savior who willingly embraces the cross to redeem sinners and establish His eternal kingdom. Every moment—from Gethsemane’s agony to the empty tomb—displays His divine authority, humble obedience, and victorious love. In this series, we journey through betrayal, denial, mockery, and death, but we emerge in resurrection, commission, and worship. The King’s cross is our salvation and His crown.

This series will help our church:

  • See the suffering and crucifixion of Jesus as the path to His enthronement.

  • Recognize the deliberate obedience of Christ in the face of betrayal and injustice.

  • Grasp the depth of Christ’s sacrifice and the power of His resurrection.

  • Embrace the Great Commission as followers of the risen King.

  • Respond with worship, obedience, and confidence in the authority of Jesus.
