WE BELIEVE: THE NICENE CREED

What do Christians believe—and why does it matter?
For nearly 1,700 years, Christians have used the Nicene Creed to confess the essential truths of the Christian faith. But the truths contained in this ancient confession are not merely ancient traditions—they are rooted deeply in the Word of God.

In this series, we'll walk through the Nicene Creed and open up the Scriptures behind its words. We'll consider who God is, the deity and humanity of Jesus, His life, death, resurrection, ascension, and return, the person and work of the Holy Spirit, the nature of the Church, and the hope of resurrection and the world to come. From creation to new creation, we'll see the unified story of Scripture and the gospel it proclaims.

Our goal isn't simply to know more theology. We want to know what we believe, understand why we believe it, and be moved to worship the Triune God with greater awe and joy. 

The God we confess is the God we worship. The Christ we confess is the Christ we follow. The hope we confess is the hope we live for.We Believe: The Nicene Creed.
