A disciple is, simply, a follower of Jesus. In this sermon, we looked at the new mission that Jesus sets us on: helping others follow Jesus by living a life of gospel proclamation and kingdom demonstration.

What is discipleship? What does that word mean? How do we do it? Most of us know it should be a part of our lives, but we still have significant questions like these and end up feeling guilty that we’re not doing it, or frustrated that no one is doing it for us. A disciple is, simply, a follower of Jesus. In this series, we’re going to explore what it means for us to follow Jesus and help others follow Jesus.

A disciple is, simply, a follower of Jesus. In this sermon, we looked at the power for discipleship, the Holy Spirit. We saw that the entire New Testament points us to the fact that, without the Spirit, we are powerless in our efforts to follow Jesus or help others follow him.
