A Life Fully Surrendered to Jesus - Acts 18:1 - 19:20

The third and final part of our series in the book of Acts is called The Unstoppable Mission of God. We’ll see the gospel absolutely explode across the Roman Empire, into Asia, and even into Europe. In these chapters of Acts we’ll see persecution intensity, churches be planted, and cities be changed by the good news that Jesus has come to bring restoration, and that really does change everything. All of this will lead to us seeing how we are a part of what started in the book of Acts and will continue until Jesus comes back.

Pursue Jesus - Philippians 3:1-16

As we advance the Gospel, we need encouragement. If we are to remain unified in our efforts to make much of Jesus, we need to be reminded that God is at work within us. In the letter from Paul to the church at Philippi we are reminded that Jesus loves us. Because of this, we as a church family need to pursue love and encourage one another. Jesus humbled himself, so as a church family we need to pursue unity and humble ourselves. Jesus is worth everything, so as a church family we need to pursue him and turn from worldly desires. We will preach through the entire book Book of Philippians at a later time, but over the next few weeks we will take a quick look to be encouraged to pursue Jesus together.

Psalm 1

The Psalmist of Psalm 1 helps us see the key to true happiness: walking the path of the righteous rather than the path of the wicked. The problem: we can't walk that path on our own. This Psalm points us to Jesus, the only person who has perfectly walked the path of the righteous that the Psalmist mentions and Jesus did it in our place.

Seeing Jesus in Psalm 22

Though Psalm 22 was written 1000 years before Jesus died on the cross, there is no other ways to describe the words from King David. Though we know that David suffered, it was never like what he described. He has to be and is pointing to Jesus. How great is our God that he gave us so many clues to the truths of the gospel!
